I am delighted to be a part of Cube Gallery’s online Great BIG smalls Exhibition. This is Cube’s 19th annual show of small works with a BIG heart! I am showing 3 mixed media works and 4 oil paintings, influenced by the amazing Monarch butterfly and by my favourite places to walk and kayak. “Balance, Monarch-Word Collage” is constructed from tissue paper that I have coloured with acrylic paint, threads that represent the air currents the Monarch uses on its awesome migration to Mexico, and permanent inks. The word Balance incorporated into the work represents how nature always tries to achieve equilibrium.
