My installation, In Memoriam, honours the vanishing gifts of nature, particularly the Monarch Butterfly and its shrinking habitats of native plants. The loss of Monarch habitats also affects other pollinators essential to ecosystems across North America. In my installation I reference candles to symbolize the memory of what the natural environment once was, and as a light to guide us in this time of environmental crisis.
